FAQ

How do I clean the Disposable Nebulizer Kit?
After each treatment, hand wash your disposable nebulizer kit to minimize the risk of infection.

  1. Turn off and unplug the nebulizer compressor.
  2. Disconnect the nebulizer tubing from the compressor.
  3. Detach the mouthpiece or mask from the nebulizer cap. Then, remove the cap from the medication cup and take out the baffle.
  4. Wash all nebulizer parts except the tubing with hot water and mild dish soap.
  5. Rinse all parts thoroughly with hot tap water.
  6. Let all parts air dry completely before reassembly.

Do I need to disinfect my nebulizer?
Disinfecting your nebulizer (reusable and disposable) daily adds an extra layer of protection that helps further reduce the risk of infection.

  1. Disassemble the nebulizer.
  2. Soak all parts (except the tubing) in a solution of 3 parts hot water to 1 part white vinegar for 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can use a bacterial-germicidal disinfectant solution following the manufacturer's instructions.
  3. With clean hands, remove the nebulizer parts and rinse them thoroughly under hot tap water.
  4. Let all parts air dry completely before reassembly.
  5. Store the nebulizer in a clean, sealed bag.

When should I replace my Drive Disposable Nebulizer?
For optimal treatment, replace the Drive Disposable Nebulizer after two weeks of use.  If it appears damaged at any time, replace it immediately.  However, the exact replacement frequency may vary depending on how often you use it.
