Market Leading CPAP Machine

ResMed has long been known as the producer of the market's top CPAP machines and equipment, and they have continued this tradition with the aesthetic and performance driven line of AirSense machines. The AirSense 10 For Her is one of the most advanced automatic CPAP machines in its class, and it is the first CPAP built for women. Featuring EPR, a heated humidifier, several advanced event detection features, the industry's best data tracking and management system, and a pressure algorithm designed specifically for women, the S10 AutoSet provides every feature you'd want in a top of the line CPAP machine.

For Her Machine
The ResMed AirSense 10 For Her is the first machine meant for use by female users specifically. ResMed incorporated a brand new, FDA approved, For Her algorithm that responds to apneas differently than most machines. Because women tend to experience upper respiratory disturbances -- and apneas -- differently than men, ResMed changed the device's pressurized response from the rest of their line. In the AirSense 10 for Her model, the machine is capable of detecting when a woman is having an apnea within just a single breath, and unlike most devices, will respond by changing pressure immediately. This instant response will help women experience better, more respondent therapy.

AirView
Introducing the most sophisticated data sharing program available in the CPAP industry: the AirView. AirView comes with a wireless modum that immediately allows users to jump into the Cloud and share their sleep apnea therapy information with both healthcare providers and service specialists. Simply take the device out of airplane mode -- which won't record any data -- and your machine will save a detailed log of your most important information, all of which will be remotely accessible instantly. Never before have you been able to share a year's worth of therapy statistics so easily! AirView installation and setup comes free with any purchase of an AirSense machine at RespShop. Get in touch with our customer service team for help setting up AirView, or read more about the Airview Data Service here.

Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR)
One of the features that set the S9 series apart from other CPAP lines was expiratory pressure relief, an algorithm that returns in the AirSense 10. EPR works by decreasing the machine's pressure at the onset of every breath you take, and then limiting that pressure throughout exhalation. Pressure will drop by one, two, or three cm of pressure, depending on your settings and personal preferences. These pressure changes are made gradually so as to not awaken you while you breathe throughout the night. EPR is also able to detect when you're having an unnatural breathing cycle. If an apnea should last for longer than ten seconds, EPR will stop until your normal breathing cycle resumes before returning to your preferred pressure setting.

Mask Fitting Feature
The AirSense 10 CPAP Machine is an intelligently designed CPAP machine, and it is capable of letting you know when you have a proper mask fit. The system can detect when your mask is leaking, and it will notify you with an affirmative symbol on your screen when your mask has been positioned properly. Similarly, if your mask is on incorrectly or is leaking significantly, the ResMed AirSense 10 for Her will alert you that you need to adjust your mask.

SmartStart
The AirSense 10 For Her allows you to conveniently start your CPAP therapy with a single breath. Once you've programmed your settings into the device, all you need to do to commence your therapy is to turn the machine on and breathe into your mask. The ResMed AirSense 10 for Her also features SmartStop, which stops your machine when you pull your mask off in the morning.

Advanced Humidification
ResMed has overhauled their humidification system on the AirSense line. The humidifier comes with every machine -- users who dislike the humidifier have the option of not filling the water chamber or removing the humidifier entirely -- which helps to make the device a bit smaller and more portable than the S9 models. The water chamber can hold 380 ml of water and must be removed to be filled. Heated humidification helps to protect against the onset of undesired and tedious side effects of sleep apnea therapy.

New Ramp Feature
ResMed tweaked the structure and function of the ramp feature for the AirSense 10 series. The ramp remains, but this time, ResMed is allowing you to set your ramp without starting pressure until you've fallen asleep. If you know you fall asleep anywhere in a 0-45 minute window, you can tell the machine to not start the ramp until you believe you'll be asleep. Then, the ramp will gradually increase pressure until the machine reaches your desired settings. This should allow you to fall asleep easily and naturally, particularly if you're new to CPAP therapy and are having problems falling asleep with a pressurized mask.

Easy Controls, Bright LCD Screen
Therapeutic accessability continues to be a staple of the ResMed CPAP package. The AirSense 10 For Her comes with ResMed's finest and most intuitive screen to date: it features a large button, easy to understand controls, and a simple interface. It features a colored and brightly lit LCD screen that can be seen easily before bed and during the night.

Advanced Event Detection
Identifies central sleep apnea, respiratory effort related arousal and Cheyne-Stokes respiration events to provide treating physicians valuable insight into the continued health of your patients.

(Optional) ClimateLineAir Tubing
The AirSense AutoSet is compatible with a new CliamteLine tube: this is a heated tube that connects your mask to the machine, and ensures that you'll breathe warm air all night long. The heated air fights some of the more unwanted symptoms associated with CPAP therapy, and virtually guarantees that you won't experience rainout.

FAQ

Other than the new algorithm, is there anything that sets the For Her AutoSet apart from the AirSense 10 AutoSet?
Very little. Besides the pressure response algorithm, the AutoSet and the AutoSet for her boast identical features. The only other difference is that the AirSense 10 For Her features an attractive flowery design on the outside of the machine.

Is this a travel friendly machine? Is it heavy and can I remove the humidifier?
While not explicitly designed for travel, the AutoSet is actually a very transportable machine. The humidifier is completely removable too, so if you are short on space or just don't like the humidifier, you can disconnect it from the machine easily.

Am I allowed to bring my AirSense on a plane?
Yes you are: medical equipment does not count against an airline's luggage limit. Make sure that your machine is in airplane mode and that you don't fill your water chamber before the flight.

Will the old ClimateLine tubing work on the new AirSense 10?
No, the old ClimateLine tubing is not compatible with the latest machine. It features different prongs.

Q. I have had this machine around 3years. I have heated tubing. I still wake up with extremely, extremely dry mouth.. I have tried various settings. The local suppliers are no help. Is there a solution?
A. Hello, do you use a nasal mask or a full face? If nasal mask, you may want to try adding a chinstrap to prevent mouth opening that can lead to dry mouth. If you are using a nasal mask, is your machine climate control settings set to manual or adaptive? If adaptive doesn't help, try changing it to manual and increading humidity all the way up to 7 ot 8. Keep tube temperature low.
Hope this helps
Q. Does this machine come with everything I need? is the mask included?
A. Hello
This machine comes with the following:
humidifiier (built in), power cord, travel bag, hose (heated or nonheated), it does not come with a mask.
Q. Can the HER be used by men and pressure adjusted by my provider?
A. Yes, the for her algorithm can be disabled and pressures can be adjusted.
Q. What is the difference between the hose for air sense 10 for her besides price?
A. The hose on the "For Her" version is the same.
The only difference on this model is a tighter Algorithm and of course the color, otherwise, it uses the same supplies like the hose, water chamber and filters.
Q. Can I use a standard CPAP tube, traditional 22 mm diameter hoses for this machine?
A. Hello,
Yes you may.

Subject: Great purchase!
Purchased the Resmed Airsense 10 for her. After looking high and low for the regular machine (not for her) Was assured this machine can be used on any gender. I highly recommend this device for anyone that needs a CPAP. So quiet and easy to use!! Air pressure can be regulated and is the perfect amount of flow. Customer service was also great! I tried to order from 3 different companies previously before finding Respshop. They had the product in stock and sent within the week. Thank you for the good nights sleep!

Subject: Love my Airsense 10 for her!
Quiet and small…I’m very happy with my Airsense 10 for her that I purchased outright rather than waiting any longer for my Philips Dream Machine that’s been recalled to be replaced by the company or my durable medical supplier. This one is equally as quiet and has a smaller footprint so takes up less room on my nightstand. Good purchase!

I just received the ResMed AirSense 10 for women and I am very pleased! The machine is so quiet! It has a low profile and it fits well on my nightstand. It is very easy to use and care for. I like the color and flower design on the front. The only thing it's missing is a docking station for my smart phone to charge and/or play music and an alarm clock lol. Highly recommend this CPAP machine!

First of all thanks to your customer service team for helping me decide which is the right machine for my mother, end up getting the Resmed AirSense 10 for her with the climateline tubing. It comes with a built in humidifier which is really helpful for her to avoid dry mouth and sore throat when waking up. Also a built in wireless connected care which is a plus for her that way she can share all her data therapy without leaving her house to her care provider. It can also detect is her mask is fitted properly or not. Overall she's very satisfied with her machine loving the floral design !!!

When Resmed came out with these new Airsense 10 machines, I was undecided on which one to get, the Airsense 10 AutoSet or the one for Her. After a lengthy period of thoughts, I decided to get this one for myself. Since the AutoSet has only two modes, but the one for Her has three modes: CPAP, AutoSet, and AutoSet for Her. I'd rather get this one because the price ($883.00) is the same but it's like buying three machines in one, and the price is the same for the AutoSet item code #37207. I can always put something on the floral prints on the machine to make it look manly. In my own opinion, it's better to get something I don't need than to not have it when I need it. Any way, it's a real quiet machine with all the bells and whistles. I made a good choice when I received it in the mail.

AirSense 10 autoSet CPAP for her with humidifier is one the four new machines from Resmed. This machine has a built in humidifier and built in wireless modem that would allow me to share data of my therapy with my doctor that way she can monitor all my data in her office without me having to go see her and he or she can make changes on my settings if needed. This for her machine can detect if I am having an apnea within just a single breath, and will respond right away by changing pressure. The machine can also detect if my mask is fitted properly or if I have a leak on my mask. It will notify me on the screen of my device with an affirmative symbol if my mask has been fitted properly.

I have been using the AirSense AutoSet 10 for Her for a month for my diagnosed moderate sleep apnea. I am already feeling much better and it has made a big difference in my quality of life. I find it easy to use and clean. It is very quiet. Smaller than I expected, I like the look/design of the For Her model.

I like the Auto Ramp feature and the ability to set the minimum pressure to my preferred amount after trying some different levels. The screen is well designed. It lights up at first turn on, and then the screen automatically goes dark for sleeping. There is just a bit of light on the on/off button so you can find it at night.

I have the machine set on the ‘for her’ settings, which according to ResMed the algorithms are tailored towards women’s higher flow limitations to gently minimize sleep disturbances. The machine also has the option to set it on the “regular” AutoSet 10 algorithms.

I like the humidifier and that I can adjust the settings. It helps with dryness in the nose, especially in the winter. I have seen some negative reviews about the humidifier, but I have not had any issues with it. The heated hose is also helpful, especially in the winter.

When you first get the machine, if you are getting a new plastic smell at first use run ‘Mask Fit’ and blow out the hose about 3 times letting it run before wearing. Also of course wash the components and let them dry beforehand. I also find ‘Mask Fit’ helpful for blowing out the hose after I wash it (which you are supposed to do weekly). I leave it hanging over a clothes bar to dry all day, but there are usually lingering water droplets at night. The blowing air gets rid of them before I hook myself up to the device.

However a negative, it’s a rip off that the her model is selling for $883 while the men’s is selling for $599. It’s essentially the same device and the prices should be fair for both men and women.

A friend told me about this new machine from Resmed with built-in humidifier, and built-in wireless connected care communications technoloy. That means my doctor can monitor my data from her office and adjust my pressure settings so that I can use the machine with ease, just turn it on and fall asleep. No need to tinker around with the buttons on my part. She can also troubleshoot my machine without having me bringing it in her office. That really saves a lot of time since I don't live close to the doc's office.

Everything is auto, auto pressure adjusting, auto ramp that gradually increases the pressure as soon as it detects me fallen asleep. There are a few other features that I really like about this new machine: the angled LCD screen with the light sensor that adjusts itself so it is never too bright , the lighted dial knob and the ramp button. Last but not least, is the Female-specific Respiratory Effort-Related Arousal (RERA) algorithm feature. It will detect my limited breath and move up the pressure to a maximum of 2.5 cmwp . Can't wait to receive my machine.

Subject: Regrettable Purchase
I would not recommend buying this machine unless you have a lot of space were you plan to use it. The cord sticks out a long way from the back of the machine. It is only a matter of time till they cord or the place were they cord plugs into gets broken because it is always bent and rubbing. Nobody with the company cares to help with this problem.

Hi there, our devices all have long power supply cords so that you have the option of having it in different spots in the bedroom. The device is the standard shape that fits most bedside tables. The cord can be placed so that the power supply is on the ground and you can maneuver the power supply to a better spot. Unfortunately this is not a defect. I apologize for the inconvenience.
