The ResMed AirSense 11 heated hose is designed exclusively for ResMed AirSense 11 CPAP machines and AirCurve 11 bilevel devices. FAQ

What is the recommended replacement schedule for the ClimateLineAir 11 Heated Tube?
The ClimateLineAir 11 Heated Tube should be replaced every 6-12 months, or as needed depending on the frequency of use and maintenance conditions.

How do I clean and maintain the ClimateLineAir 11 Heated Tube?
The ClimateLineAir 11 Heated Tube should be cleaned once a week using warm water and mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemicals or cleaning agents such as bleach, as they can damage the tubing. The ClimateLineAir 11 Heated Tube has a length of 6 feet 6 inches (2m) and an inner diameter of 15mm.

Why Do You Need a Heated Tube?

Heated CPAP tubing serves one primary purpose: preventing moisture buildup in the tube. The heated and humidified air from your CPAP machine cools as it travels from the machine to your face, leading to condensation buildup that, in extreme cases, result in water sloshing around in your hose and mask. If there is a draft nearby (e.g., you sleep with a fan on or near the window), or if you sleep with the AC on, the odds of this happening is even greater.

Condensation in your CPAP tubing is a problem as air flowing past the water droplets can create loud popping sounds that disrupt your sleep. Excess condensation or rainout can result in water splashing onto your face or even into your nose!

Using a heated hose solves these problems because the heated hose helps maintain a constant temperature throughout your CPAP circuit. This temperature control insulates the air inside the tubing from the cooler temperature in its surroundings. As an added bonus, you can even adjust the temperature in the heated hose for your comfort, making this a great upgrade to the standard hose!

Q. Does Res Med 11 have a heated tube with 0xygen connection capabilities, built into the tube or is it a add on adaptor. Thanks
A. This does not have oxygen capabilities, ResMed has yet to release the heated tube with oxygen capabilities but as they had one for the AirSense 10 it is likely they will eventually release one for the AirSense 11 as well. You can attach an oxygen adapter such as the Sunset Healthcare Oxygen Enrichment Adapter.
Q. I have been walking up a few times in the past month with dry mouth. My tongue is stuck to the top of my mouth. What is the problem?
A. A couple of things. Make sure you humidifier is set correctly. Also if you are using a fullface mask this can happen because your mouth is opening and the air is going through your mouth. You may try a heated hose and see if that will help with moisture. Also some meds can create a dry mouth as well.
Q. Hi
Can you please tell me what tube setting I should have on the air sense 11 autoset model for a climateline tube. Should I select ‘slimline’ or ‘standard’. Resmed user manual unhelpfully doesn’t say. Thank you.
A. Hello,
For the climatelineair tubing, you don't have to select a tube setting because the machine will automatically detect the "climatelineair tubing" is plugged in (there's a chip on the end of the tubing).
Q. What temperature do I need to set my Resmed Airsense 11 ClimatelineAir tubing on to stop the dry mouth I am experiencing?
A. You need to set your humidification higher in order to receive moist air. Best practice is to put the Humidifier setting and the ClimatelineAir setting to Auto.
Q. I have used Cpap machines for several years but recently I began to have more frequent nosebleeds. I just received the Airsense 11 and it came with a regular and heated tubing. Which tubing would be better for my nosebleed problems?
Thanks
A. I would suggest the heated tube if you are having more nose bleeds.
Q. Does the ResMed 11 heated tube come with a 90 degree plug in bend instead of the straight end ?
Thanks
A. Hi there, unfortunately no. Resmed designed the new tube to have the straight end.
Q. Resmed 11 I’ve tryed doing all I know ever buying a cover for the tub I’ve turn up I’ve turned down the setting & Iam still drowning at nite someone please help I’ve. Wear a cpap for over 25 never had this problem
A. Hi there, have you tried turning your humidity off? Some people have a good natural humidifier in their nose so they don't need the moisture. You could also try a humidity setting of 1 or 2, and turn your Tube Temperature to the MAX if you're still experiencing rain out. Please give us a call if you still have issues: 866-936-3754.
Q. Can I put a cover on my res med 11 heated hose
A. Yes you may
Q. Could Resmed please make the climate control hose for the airsense 11 with a built in oxygen adapter???Please put that at the top of your list!!!!
A. I can certainly pass your enquiry to ResMed. This is RespShop and sadly, we do not have much of a say on what ResMed launches. But I do agree with you. The S10 heated tube with O2 adapter was a late feature as well. Hopefully they launch it soon.
Q. I have an AirSense 10 and have been using the Climate Line heated tubing. I understand they are supposed to be replaced every 6 months, but I cannot tell how old each one is because when I get a new one, I like to keep one as a backup and sometimes get the new and older tubing mixed up, and I don't see any visible markings on the tubing to help. How may I determine which are the older tubes once I open a new one to keep them apart?
A. Perhaps you could mark the tube with something -permanent marker or a sticker?

Subject: Airsense 11 Climatelineair tubing
I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea a year ago. I was not provided with much information at all. I got a cpap and a mask and was told to use it each night. I would attempt to use it every night. Each night I would attempt to use CPAP therapy. Once I was lying down, wearing my mask, I would start feeling optimistic about being able to wear the mask all night. This would be the night, I would tell myself. I would sleep soundly for a couple of hours and then I would wake to a loud noise and water spitting at me! It was alarming! I would be grossed out and frustrated and TIRED. I would go back to sleep without my mask. I eventually quit using it. Feeling guilty about my non compliance I did some research and found RespShop.com What an impressive website! I called through and the kind, informative customer service explained I needed a ClimatelineAir tubing. This tube allows my humidification to be set as I need it and no more waking to noise or water in my face! Get a ClimateLineAir tube!

Subject: Airsence 11 ClimateLine tubing
When i bought my Airsence 11, i oped for the heated tubing. So far i have been using my Cpap machine for about 2 months. Having the AC on keeping the room at around 70 degrees, with the humidifier using about half to 3/4th of the water placed in the water tub. In that 2 months each morning i check the line and found no accumulation of water droplets in the heated line, and the 12" section of the unheated line for my resmed nasal mask. From this stand point it looks like the mask is working perfectly, and i have no regrets buying the heated line with the Airsence 11. Although, if i was to do it again i would go above it differently. For instance, if you select the heated tubing option for the Resmed airsence 11, its a additional 40 dollars, and this is the only hose supplied with the machine. The Climate-line hose by its self sells for 46 dollars.

It would be a much better deal for a person to buy the Airsence11 with the slime line hose, and then add on a climate-line hose for a additional 46 dollars. Then one would have a spare slime-line hose that only cost 6 dollars instead of the listed 32 dollars for a slimline hose on the sight. At least then if your climate line hose has a leak you have a spare one to use tell you order a new hose.
