Replacement AirFit N30i Nasal Cushion by ResMed

The Replacement AirFit N30i Nasal Cushion features ResMed's QuietAir™ Vent technology for a less disruptive and quieter night’s sleep. ResMed updated the AirFit N30i nasal cushion in 2021 by removing the plastic front panel and replacing it with a soft and flexible silicone frame. The original vent holes on the front of the cushion were replaced with a QuietAir vent which reduces exhalation noise to whisper-quiet levels.

Note: The AirFit N30i Nasal Cushion is also compatible with the AirFit P30i Nasal Pillow Mask.Simply switch out the P30i nasal pillow cushion with the N30i nasal cushion to easily convert your nasal pillow mask to a nasal mask.

Q. How is the new air vent supposed to be cleaned?
A. Hello,
You can clean this by using submerging it in warm soapy water (please use a mild soap) and using a soft bristle brush (eg toothbrush) to scrub it gently. Rinse throughly and let air dry. Recommended to wash daily.
Q. Can I order just one size (SW) rather than the whole pack?
A. Yes it will only come with the one size you order. The picture just shows you what sizes are available, but you do not get all of them.
Q. I can't breathe with the new nose cushions. Also they dont fit properly and lots of air coming out of the top. And no air is coming out of the vents. I am so disappointed. I was sleeping so well with the old ones. I cant use these and I loved the old ones with the hard plastic. Can I still get the old type?
A. Unfortunately, we do not have the old version any longer. The diffuser on the new one is definitely tighter than the old style, but you should still have air venting out the front, it is just diffused more so that it isn't as strong when blowing on the user or their bed partner.
Q. Are all under nose attachments compatible. I have dreamwear under the nose model#1116746.
A. Those are not compatible. The only ones compatible with this model are the ones on this page, and the nasal pillows. (Search "63862" to find the nasal pillow ones)
Q. I have the Airfit p30i mask. I don't like the nostril pieces and would prefer a mask without them. Can I use the n30i replacement pillow with the p30i mask? Thank you.
A. Yes to imporve fit and comfort, they are interchangeable.
Q. Do you have the new model of N30i replacement cushions in stock?

Q. I was having no issues breathing through this mask before washing it the other day. Now it feels difficult to take and breathe in and out. There has been no changes made to my pressures. What can I do ?
A. Hi there,
I am sorry to hear you are having a difficult time breathing through your mask. A mistake I have made in the past is placing my diffuser filter inside out. Ensure the small holes are facing into the mask and facing you should be clear plastic with a visible filter in it. This usually does the trick. If not feel free to send us a photo of the mask set up to sales@respshop.com.
Q. I would like to purchase the older style nasal pillow for the N30i mask. I do not want the one with the quiet air vent.
If there are any starter packs eith thr older pillows, I could buy that also.

Q. does the new version 30i nasal cushion perform like the old version? As i look for replacement i have the old version and wonder if i will be happy with the new version becasue I dont see the holes and see a padding there.

The cold air was blowing on my wife's back and causing my wife lung problems with the Old nasal cushion now with the new quiet technology the cold air does not come out directly and Now my wife can wake up with no back pain. God bless whom invented this upgrade!

Subject: Airfit N30i cpap nasal mask
I was surprised to see so many poor reviews of this product as I have experienced a wonderful change of experience from my prior nasal pillow set up. The nasal pillow gear irritated my nostrils no end and continually came unsealed during the night. I started to avoid cpap altogether until I researched this product and procured from my local resp company. It works perfectly with my ResMed AirSense cpap machine and I now use my cpap every night. I love this product.

Subject: an improvement but further instruction is needed
So I was sent the improved nose cushiion Airfit N30i and it worked well but then the oval fitting in the center of the cushion came out and I did not know which way to put it back in since it fit either with the vents facing outward or inward. Help is needed here One night where it didn't seem to work has led me to put it aside for the time being.

When you reinsert the oval diffuser, the vents face outward. You'll probably notice it is notched around the edges so please make sure the white filter is facing outside. Hope this helps!

Subject: airfit N30l sml cushion
Is it possible to order only the filter piece that fits in #63813 in a pack of 3? It is hard to clean the filters, but my cushion is still in good shape. I would prefer the old style in which the filter was a hard plastic and didn't pop out, but from other responses I gather that was discontinued. It seems to me the more material(in the filter) the more chance for bacteria to form.

Subject: Nasal Cusion - QuietAir Vent
I read in the users manual that you can remove/insert the QuietAir Vent. It broke when I took it off, so re-inserting it is not an option, but it does make it more like the old design for those who prefer it. (https://document.resmed.com/documents/products/mask/airfit-n30i-p30i/user-guide)

Please bring back the former version of this cushion!! The new version has too many leaks and dries my eyes out. After a year of trying to to fund the perfect CPAP mask it's disconnected! This is a matter of quality of life!

Subject: AirFit N30i CPAP replacement mask.
In the past I have used the N30i with the original vent and a great night of sleep resulted. The "new" updated vent is terrible. I feel like I am suffocating. My sleep score has dropped into the low 80's from the very high 90's! Mask seal has dropped from 19/20 to 3 or 4/20. Do not understand why the vent was changed and hope they will go back to it or at least one that has a better air flow.

Subject: New cushion is HORRIBLE
Bad Bad Bad - I used the N30i cushion for years. The new model leaks, moves around on my head, and restricts flow. You will lose many customers because of this.

I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the new cushion. The shape of the headgear has not been changed. The item just now has a defuser in the front of the mask cushion so cold air doesn't blow into your bed partners face. I will be sure to provide your feedback to the manufacturer RESMED.

Subject: Don't buy
New cushion with quieter tech had a little piece. That pops out. If you don't know what it is, in the trash is it goes. Found out the hard way.

Hi there, after further investigation, the Quiet air vent actually can be washed. After washing with mild liquid detergent and rinsing well, shake the Quiet Air vent to remove any excess water. Leave the components to air dry (out of direct sunlight). Change entire nasal cushion when discolors and not washable.

Went from less than 20 L/min. to an avg. over 40. This new design is unsatisfactory and cannot believe it passed the approval process at ResMed.

Subject: The redesign
The new redesign is horrible! I get little to no air flow as I move around during my sleep. The old version was great, I'm not sure why they changed but I assume it came down to money. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Subject: N30i redesign is awful
The new design is awful. It doesn't allow the exhale to escape fully through the vent, so the pillow moves when pressure builds. This keeps me awake and adjusting my mask all night long. The old version was so much better.

I tossed my new because it prevented free air flow and I felt smothered. Now I find I can't purchase the old.

Subject: Horrible
This was redesigned without any notice. The design is horrible. It falls apart when sleeping, has no instruction on how to clean the new filter in it. When the filter doesnt entirely pop out (every night leaving me to fumble in the dark to put it back in) the filter also sometimes partly pops out creating a leak which then causes me to get a lung full of water that built up due to the massive leak. Whoever redesigned this and plunked the same part number on it should be fired.
