I've been using this mask for many years. It's a little bulky compared to my new daily driver, nasal pillow mask. But, if I'm suffering with an upper respiratory infection, and don't want to irritate my nose, I consistently find myself going back to this mask. It just works for me.

most reasonable mask that I could find works good, this compares favorably with masks sold by health care facilities

The mask size ran larger than other brands. I ordered a small/medium and in hind sight should have ordered an extra small. That being said I love this mask, even though it is larger than the one I was used to, it was extremely comfortable.

Great mask. First over the nose type I've used and I sleep better. Not any good for sleeping on stomach for me though.

I have been using the Resporonics Comfort Gel facemask for three years and find it to be comfortable and the best value in CPAP masks.

I have used these masks before and they are great. Super comfortable and easy to adjust to your face. I have tried other masks and nasal breathing systems, but this is the best for me so far.

I received this new mask a couple weeks ago. At first I thought I would not like it but I realized I had it adjusted too tight. Once I got the fit adjusted correctly, I now feel as though it is one of the best masks I have used to date. I have gone through quite a few different masks since being on a cpap machine (2009) so I have had a lot of different experiences with masks. I find this one to be the most comfortable masks I have used to date.

This has been my mask of choice for 8 years. I love it. My first time using Respshop and I'm impressed. Good price and fast delivery.

EXCELLENT product as always. Headband lasts much longer than other reviews say. Leaks minimally, mostly due to some error on my part. You need to let it air out for a few days before washing and wearing as the odor from manufacture is strong. Shipment was fantastic.

They've made an improvement over my last 2 masks, not as much air leakage around the swivel. Head gear is not as stretchy as what I've had in the past. Not sure yet how I feel about that.

This is a very comfortable and usable mask. The straps are easily adjustable to get a good fit. A week in and so far no complaints. Can't beat the price for the quality.

The best CPAP mask I have used. Most comfortable by far. The old comfortgel was good but the blue cushion is more comfortable. Basically the same mask design except the new gel cushion seals better so you have no leaks and it doesnt leave any marks on my face.

I love the newly redesigned ComfortGel Blue mask. The most noticeable change is the mask itself is not as bulky or cumbersome. The mask has been slimmed down quite a bit and that makes it easier to sleep at night. I have also noticed that the "ComforGel" part of the mask lasts quite a bit longer than the original ComfortGel.
I use a Bipap machine with high pressure settings and this is one of the few masks that can handle a high setting and not leak.

Does a good job of sealing. Side plastic hooks are difficult to use.

Been using this mask for almost 9 years now. This is probably the best mask you can find on the market for this price. It might be difficult at first to put on the headgear for a good seal correctly, but when you can adjust it right, it provides a very nice seal. The gel and silicone work well together. Best part about this mask is the nasal piece and the head strap. You won't find anything close on the market to the comfort they bring for this price. It's also a very quiet mask and I've never felt bothered by the sounds even though I'm sensitive to sound.
As a word of advice for newer users of this mask out there, I recommend reinforcing the bar the headgear straps thread through. They use flimsy plastic there so it's easy for it to break without strengthening them. Otherwise, very good mask. I highly recommend it.

I'm both very happy with this mask AND the pricing & service the folks @ The Respshop provide. Been using these folks for years with complete satisfaction. I've noticed a difference in the headgear (strap) on the current model as compared to the ones from my last order though. The former units seemed to have a much more elastic headgear. The current model seems to not stretch at all. Wondering if all three of my recently purchased new units will have this problem. The other two are still in their original plastic packaging so I can't tell. A pretty significant reduction in comfort and ease of usage....Oh well.

I tried this mask because it was such a great deal. I ordered a medium pillow. Unfortunately I was not able to get a good night's sleep due to the bulky size. Fortunately, Respshop honored their guarantee and allowed an exchange for a mask that works better for me.

Imo if the manufacturer would make the forehead brace about 3 times thicker @ it's pivoting points...and adjust the price with the customer in mind as well...
These masks would be the best All Around nasal mask.
The cushion is above average, and the straps are relentless...meaning, they've always outlasted the main mask hub, for me.
$35, or less has sealed my deal for 4 years now...and if they take care of that forehead brace...

The letter on the bottom of the mask is really bothersome. Other then that it is a great mask .

Mask is well put together but it just didn't quite fit the bridge of my nose and would leak. The adjustment that could be made below the forehead pad was very helpful for fitment. With just a bit different shape it would have been good for me.

It's good only a bit big, so it press a bit too much below the eyes.

My nasal mask with the blue Gel sometimes I have to pull my mask so tight that it hurts my upper lip in the morning.

Can you trim the Gel to fit a little better

I like the mask. It does a great job. A little hard to put on and take off but other wise very satisfied.

Just received it today so I haven't yet tried it but I am pleased with the new features that are apparent, swivel clips and forehead buffers.

Great deal for the mask on the Black Friday special. It's comfortable with a very slight bit of air leak at times under high pressure. The adjustable upper portion is something that can break down the line though.

I intended for a simple mask and this was as simple as it get. Though it is softgel the reality is the cushion takes some time to get used to. You will have some red marks but it is not really that bad. Good mask but better options out there.

Subject: Wanted to try a different mask
I have been using full face masks (that cover mouth and nose) for a few years now. Wanted to try a nose only mask. I do have facial hair and have found this nose only mask became painful under my nose where my mustache is. I have fairly sensitive skin and there seems be a lot of pressure under the nose no matter how I adjust it. The first couple of nights was ok, and I had no issues with keeping my mouth closed while sleeping. It is quite strange to try and talk with this style of mask. I did think it was easier to sleep with the smaller mask, until it started hurting too much, then I had to go back to the full mask. Dealing with respshop was fine, good price, and the order came quickly was accurate. Will certainly do more business in the future. Had to give 3 stars due to comfort factor. Maybe if you are clean shaven this will be better for you.

Subject: Uncomfortable for me
I switched to the ComfortGel blue mask after my wife kept complaining about the air that blew in her face from my old mask. I don't have that problem anymore but instead, another problem has arisen. The mask is a little tight for me and some of the pressure points ache. I tried to adjust this mask as well as I can but it's still too small for me.
I know a lot of reviews on here talk about how comfortable the mask is but it personally doesn't work for me. Needless to say I am a little disappointed that I'll still have to look for a better mask that suits my needs. I'm not sure if I keep wearing this mask, it will get more comfortable over time or not. But for now, I'll try to look for better alternative masks.
If ComfortGel blue becomes more comfortable it will be an instant 5/5 stars. Until then I think I'll look for a better mask.

Good comfortable mask BUT - plastic connections that holds the forehead pad keeps breaking

I gave it a try, I could not get it fit comfortably and it kept waking me up. I did not dislike it, it’s just not for me. Have a safe day.

I like the size and the softness of the mask, but I just can’t get the mask to seal around my nose. Have to get it so tight I ended up with a sore under my nose, and big red marks across my forehead and the bridge of my nose.

Mask works great. Comfortable fit. Good seal. Only rating a 3 because it BREAKS SO EASILY! One little strain on any part of the plastic and it cracks and the mask is useless.....Very flimsy plastic.

The mask itself is good. Some red marks but it's not uncomfortable. The head gear is awful. Velcro wears out with just two adjustments. The mask I ordered was petite but the head gear is enormous. Two of my head would fit in this thing. And it's incredibly hard to get off once it's on, the mechanism to take it off is not friendly for waking up in the middle of the night. It's a great deal but you get what you pay for in this case. Shipping was super fast, would use respshop again but not this mask!!

Assumed that I would need the same size as my Respironics wisp mask. This was a mistake. It was too big and I couldn't get a good fit around my nose so it leaked out. As far as quality it seems very well made and would have been more stable to wear at night.

This mask would be great if it wasn't for the forehead piece. It is poorly designed in that it breaks extremely easily. The pressure points on the middle are very thin and take VERY little to break. Its a shame because I think everything else about the comfort gel is top notch.
One top undo the head gear like the instructions show when placing it on or removing it, it will make the forehead piece last longer, though there is no doubt the piece WILL break eventually.

The mask doesn't fit the contour of my face well and it leaks all night long.

I never could get the mask to sit right without any leaking around nasal cushion. Small Movement of head from up to down, nasal leaks.

I am baffled at this "comfort gel" mask. Always had uncomfortable pressure on forehead or at nasal depending on adjustments. Definitely good idea to have comfort gel, but design did not work.

Subject: An OK Basic Nasal Mask
One of the things I've noticed about Phillips masks and products they have the tendency to go way overboard. In this product, headgear is large, bulky and uncomfortable. The nasal mask is very.large and heavy. They tend to be value priced as compared.to others such as the Resmed. If you need a backup mask, it will get by. I personally do not like this nasal mask setup. It does work as intended but very poorly due to the headgear/mask design.

I don't like the mask. I had gel mask before and they were soft. Tbis one feels very hard when it's on my face. I also getting a rash and red face. I do wash my face and tbe mask every night. I would like to return one of the mask. I've only used 1 mask, the other is still in the package.

Could not keep it on my Face any if I strapped it down so tight that it fit my head with her and ake said I did not like this product

I did not have a good experience with this mask. It had a very strong odor to begin with but that may dissipate after awhile, not sure.
The mask just did not fit well. The bottom part would not sit right under my nose and irritated.
When I would lay on my side the mask would pull tight on one side and loosen on the other creating a gap. I tried readjusting but no luck.
Maybe it's just the shape of my face but either way I was unable to use this mask.

Mask is very rigid and uncomfortable, hard to hook lower strap to unit after it's on. Hard to adjust leaks without getting too tight

This mask makes noise and leaves great big red marks on either side of my nose. I chose the lowest price option. While it is well made and may work for some, this isn't for me.

Unfortunately the size was too large ( I got a medium). It states that “you can’t return anything once opened” So there it sits.

Something broke or came apart on it the second time a tried to use it. I cant get it back together correctly or it is broke.

This mask is too heavy on the bridge of my nose. I had a difficult time getting the settings adjusted to eliminate the larger leaks. Last, I am certain that the plastic clips for the headgear will not last a year. It is difficult to get the peg in and out of the clip. Even at $30, I won't buy this mask again.

As always, Respshop ordering and delivery was spot on.
The mask however, leaves something to be desired.

The black straps fit well around my head. They were easy to adjust and find a comfort spot with.
The forehead rest was also well designed.

Beyond these, my experience has with the mask has been poor.

The gel is not very deep or wide. This means there is little space to adapt to the shape of my face. Despite many nights of fiddling about, I am unable to get an even seal around my upper lip, cheek and nose bridge at the same time.

The plastic connector just above the bridge of my nose is very flimsy in design. Crucial pieces can take no lateral pressure before breaking. Whats even worse is the lack of range of the nose adjustment this piece gives. The bridge part of the blue gel is always much further from my face than the lip portion. The bridge adjuster will not move to a comfortable position.

Lastly the outer face seal is too thin. Slight movements during the night would cause high frequency vibrations leave red welts on my cheek and making high pitched noise that work my darling and me.

previous masks from this vendor have been wonderful I do not know what the engineers were thinking here.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MASK AT ALL. I am going to return it, but unfortunately I have to order a different one, so I won't lose a couple days of not having one.
1. the clips on the side come off during sleep
2. Its clunky, and hisses from the way it's made, air escapes constantly.
3. I have not had a restful sleep since I bought it, due to the noise and clips coming off.

Now the band that goes around the head is the best feature. its comfortable, and doesn't leave the huge grooves in your face as some of the others.

Good mask for the first month. After that velcro with wear out and it will break where the straps connect. Mostly on the forhead but I had many break where the bead clip slides in. I bean getting these since 2008 and they break like clockwork after a few months.

In the past I have had a positive experience using a Respironics ComfortGel Nasal Mask. I was happy to order a new one from the Respshop at a special sale price but unfortunately I had a bad reaction to the new one.

The instructions indicate that the mask should be washed before use and I did give it a light washing with dish soap and water. After the first night's use I woke up with a sore throat and swollen neck glands. This soreness went away after about 16 hours. I discontinued the use of the mask and exposed the plastic to good air circulation for a couple of weeks. I also gave the mask several more washings with soap and water. I am now happily using the new mask on a nightly basis.

I feel a stronger cautionary note should have been included in the mask packaging. The mask should be thoroughly cured and washed both before and after sale..

Seems heavier and very bulky. Not fond of the adjustments. Very difficult to sleep in.

Subject: your face needs to be shaped right for this to fit
I had high hopes. Except around the bridge of the nose (the side plastic digs in - I have a wider nose - and there isn't enough gel there) this has the best gel I have tried. I get a deep dent in the nose area. This can not be adjusted enough to fit my face. The profile view of my face is that my chin and forehead are in a straight line. This appears to presume that the lower part of your face is offset. You can't adjust it to fit if your face isn't like this.

I gave it one star since it doesn't work for my face shape. I'd give it more stars if it fit my face.

This is a review of the ComfortGel Blue Nasal CPAP Mask. I have consistently worn a medium size mask. The medium in this mask is way too big. The layout of the seals and straps are such that it must be pulled too tight to my face so it will not leak. I tried it on, adjusted it, readjusted and readjusted it again. 20 minutes is all I could tolerate. I took it off and threw it away.
This is the problem with mail-order masks. You never know if they will fit and work until you get them. Once you find one that fits it is then either discontinued or "improved" to the point it no longer fits.
Very frustrating.

The mask still has a strong plastic smell no matter how many times I have washed it.
It does not fit well on my face.
It leaks air at all time I must stay still for it not to leak air.

Very uncomfortable. Has to be too tight to avoid leaks and ends up wits sore nose bridge. Had one that broke that was basically the sane except that the lower staples conected to spring wires that applied comfortable tension

I have been a user of Resperonics true blue nasal for 12 years. This replacement for that apparently is this Blue Nasal mask. This new mask does not begin to compare to the true blue Nasal mask. Apparently the manufacturer has removed the accordian-style cushion that allowed the mask to shape itself to my face. This mask leaks around the edges and is uncomfortable when you pull it tight enough to get it to stop leaking. Extremely disappointed !

This product while reasonably priced did not work for me. To be a large it ran very small. I also did not like the extra padding on the forehead. I did return this product and ordered a new one.

supposed to be a gel mask but is just a narrow section of the gel part and the covering is the floppy silicone. it left painful dent on my cheekbone. also, i usually use medium but this model medium is way too big for my face. hard plastic bottom of mask hangs down over my lips.

On bottom of mask is printed (raised) SM, it irritates my skin and wakes me up thru the night! Will not purchase this mask again.

Really a very uncomfortable mask. I could not use it at all.

This is the absolutely the worst mask ever! Not comfortable. Does not seal. Dual layer seal ensures that you will awaken every 3 to 5 minutes with vibrating seal tickling your nose in the most annoying way. Discharge air port discharges with HIGH velocity and at the worst direction possible; it will be either blowing on you or your spouse. It has an adjustable forehead pillow that is awesome if you want it adjust while you are sleeping. Simply awful. How bad is this mask? I am writing this review at 4:30 in the morning because I can't stand it any more. Would make a good torture device! Next step is to order a different mask.

This product is not good at all....i was expecting soft squishy mask because of the blue gel....Just the opposite, the mask is very hard and left a big gauge on my face for most of the next day....Too much hard plastic and unless its strapped kind of tight the mask leaks....SAVE your money

The straps seem to give out very quickly. The last couple have only lasted about a month.

Did not like it whay to stiff as i turned my head the mask would leak i will stay with my resmed activa!

Prior to nasal surgery my doctor recommended that I purchase a mask of this type rather than use my normal nasal pillows. It has been more than 20 years since I tried one like this because of the leakage but I expected new technology and materials might have corrected the problems. I was incorrect, it still leaks at 10% or greater according to my machine and because it hurts no longer than 4 hours at a time. While it served it's purpose I will be going back to my nasal pillows as soon as possible. The reasons for trying this unit were price and 5 star reviews, but it was just not right for me. I cannot recommend this unit.

After several months of use I am very disappointed with this mask. I had one previously and it broke at its weak spot which is the connection for the upper cushion adjustment where it has a sliding attachment into the mask. I am having problems with this new mask in the exact same spot. It separates in the middle of the night and I have to get up and physically put the mask back together. This is costing me sleep. It also doesn't seal well and whistles and squeaks throughout the night.

It is the first product that I have ordered that I Don't like. It doesn't seal, my wife says it whistles, it isn't comfortable. I went back to using my old mask until I get a replacement.
