Swift FX For Her Nasal Pillow Mask by ResMed

Designed specifically for a woman's facial structure, the ResMed Swift FX For Her is a sleek and lightweight CPAP mask. Featuring pink trim in a compact design, the For Her model is intended for sleep apnea users with small heads and narrow cheeks. The Swift FX For Her Nasal Pillow Mask with Headgear is quiet, travel-friendly, and great for side sleepers.

New Pillow Design
The Swift FX's nasal pillows come with dual-wall flaps that are designed with comfort and mask stability in mind. The outer wall of the nasal pillows provides a sturdy base while the inner wall seals on contact with the nose, minimizing mask leaks when sleeping on your sides.

The Swift FX For Her comes with pillows in sizes Extra Small, Small, and Medium. Size Large is sold separately. All pillow sizes are compatible with the mask frame.

Ergonomic Headgear
When you strap on this innovative headgear, you'll feel like you're wearing nothing on your face at all. The small, lightweight headgear minimizes facial contact for an open field of view so you can read or watch TV.

The fabric back strap keeps the frame in place, providing a snug yet gentle fit. The Swift FX For Her is designed for comfort and stability in various positions.

Easy Application
With just two points of adjustment, the Swift FX For Her is one of the easiest masks to don on the market. Finding the right fit is a snap with the easy-to-operate buckle on top of your head and the adjustable Velcro strap on the back of your head.

ResMed Swift FX: Mask Fitting Guide and Overview

FAQ

How long is the backstrap for the Swift FX For Her mask?
The back-strap length, excluding the tabs, is 15 inches. The tabs add an additional 2.5 inches.

Can I get the Swift FX For Her in a color that isn't pink?
The Swift FX For Her is available exclusively with a pink headgear. You can purchase the regular blue Swift FX headgear here. Please note that the Swift FX headgear comes with a longer backstrap (16.5 inches).

Is the short tube assembly compatible with the Swift FX Nano?
No, the short tube assembly on the Swift FX For Her is not the same as the short tube assembly on the Swift FX Nano.

Weekly cleaning: headgear, short tubing with swivel
Daily cleaning: cushion

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Soak all parts in warm water with mild soap for up to ten minutes.
  3. Gently scrub the vent with a soft bristle brush.
  4. Rinse each part thoroughly under running water.
  5. Air dry all parts away from direct sunlight. Lay the headgear flat to dry.
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.

The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
The Swift FX comes with larger nasal pillow sizes (small, medium, large) compared to the Swift FX For Her, which comes with extra small, small, and medium nasal pillow cushions.

The headgear back strap on the Swift FX For Her is also shorter (15 inches) than the Swift FX headgear back strap (16.5 inches).
The Swift FX Bella For Her offers two headgear options: the standard Swift FX For Her headgear and the Bella loops. The Swift FX For Her mask only comes with the standard headgear.

The Bella loops are unique in that they hook around the ears, unlike the standard headgear which wraps around the top and back of the head.
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the tips of the nasal pillows to inflate and settle comfortably inside your nose.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your Swift FX For Her according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

1–3 of 3 Questions
Q. I can't find a mask that does not have air blowing out the bottom of it. Does this mask do that? Thank you
A. Hi there, I'm not sure which you are referring to. Are you looking for something with a diffuser to prevent the sound or feeling of air escaping the front of your mask? If a mask is leaking out of the bottom that is sounding more like you have a leakage issue, and may need to tighten the mask or try a different size. If you are looking for something with a Diffuser, the Eson 2 nasal mask or the P30i nasal pillow mask is a better option.
Q. What can I do to stop air leakage when I sleep on my side?
A. The mask may be leaking when you're on your side as it is not tight enough. You may need to tighten the straps slightly on each side. Adjusting your mask when it's on and you're laying on your side may help. Then when you do roll over it shouldn't move around as much causing the leakage.
Q. Is there an easy disconnect for getting up in the night?
A. Hello, there is no quick release on this mask but you may disconnect from the 4inch tubing that connects to the 6 ft tubing if you like.

Subject: Very comfortable
I've been using this mask for at least 10 years and I still prefer it. I've tried a few others but I keep coming back to it, I hope they don't discontinue it!

This is my first review and I like this mask a lot. I tried another mask from Resmed and found this one to be more stable and comfortable for me when I move around. It stays on my face and I'm getting good sleep

Swift FX mask for her is the most comfortable nasal pillow mask I have ever used. Easy to put on and the headgear is soft most of the time it seems like im not wearing my mask at all. The straps are flexible I can sleep on my side or my back. Perfect nasal pillow mask

This mask is just perfect fit for me, super light weight and travel friendly. I can honestly say I have been sleeping really good and never have problem with this mask. The mask straps are really soft and never gives me discomfort when rubbing on my cheeks, and it allows me sleep on my side at all times.

I finally found a cushion size that fits my face, although I wish it would have come with smaller headgear too. The pink is... more amusing than cute, but some people may like it.

Subject: Air sometimes escapes out of the front
I'm honestly pretty sad about this mask. My husband complains that he can't sleep with me anymore because of the constant air barraging his face. I sleep on my side and I swear this new design was made for air to escape out of the front part of the mask. So my partner always has to deal with the air blowing out of my mask.
My old mask (the older model) was better than this one. It didn't have the air problem, so my partner was fine sleeping with me.
But, I will say that other than the air problem, this mask is an improvement over the older model. It has had no leaks so far. I use a chin strap with this mask and even though I shift a lot when I sleep, this mask has had no trouble staying in place. It's also much more comfortable. I get better sleep from it (at the expense of my husband's sleep).
If Resmed improves the design just a little and makes it more friendly for side sleepers, I would give this mask 5 stars.
