Amara View CPAP Mask - Full Face By Philips Respironics
Due to the Amara View's under-the-nose design, it will not leave an abrasion on the bridge of your nose. The Amara View was designed to be sleek and forgo any type of forehead support making it a small and light sleep apnea mask.
If you wear glasses, watch TV, use a tablet/computer, or even read before falling asleep you can rejoice! Your field of vision is not compromised as it only takes up a small portion of your face allowing the user to enjoy the "view" with the Amara View.
Comfortable Silicone Full Face Amara View Cushion
With comfort in mind, the Amara mask cushion will rest comfortably under your nose and on your face, while still providing a great seal without any air leaks. The nostril opening allows pressure into the nostril without causing irritation as a traditional nasal pillow would.
If you are unsure what cushion size you need, the Respironics Amara View comes in a FitPack option. It will come with 3 different size cushions, so you will be able to find out which cushion size gives you the best fit. This FitPack option is recommended if you are unsure of your size. All options, whether you chose the FitPack or not will include both the mask and headgear.
Amara View Headgear is Adjustable
Having a four-point adjustment around the mask and a fifth adjustment on the crown of your head makes the Amara View headgear quite innovative. It rests on your head helping to reduce discomfort during CPAP therapy. The headgear was designed to promote a secure fit and evenly apply pressure with different adjustments available. The crown strap crosses over the top thus creating a halo shape behind the user's head.
Headgear Clips with a Quick Release
We all go through difficulties in the middle of the night when we have to take off our CPAP masks. With the quick-release clips, you will no longer have to experience that difficulty. Simply rotate the clip and lift it from your face. Afraid you might apply too much pressure and break a clip? You can wear the
Respironics Amara View CPAP mask even without the use of the clips making it easy to re-apply the mask and fall back asleep swiftly.
Hose positioning
The hose on the Amara View is placed at the front of the face. This makes it a great mask for a side sleeper and people who move around a lot in their sleep. It is cost-effective and ergonomic.
Universal Mask Frame
You've voiced your concern and Philips Respironics has listened. Say goodbye to buying multiple masks! The Philips Respironics Amara View features a universal mask frame so you will know that any cushion size will fit properly. This is a huge step forward as it will be more convenient for the user to simply replace the cushion with any size needed. No more having to re-purchase a complete mask set just because the cushion needs to be replaced.

FAQ
Is this mask compatible with my tubing and CPAP machine?
Respironics has standardized all of their CPAP equipment, including CPAP machines, CPAP masks, and tubes to fit on other manufacturers' devices if you desire. Tubing cuff sizes have been standardized to 22 millimeters.
Can I purchase replacement cushions?
Yes, you can purchase replacement cushions for the Amara View Full Face Mask. There are three different sizes available, small, medium, and large.
Daily cleaning: cushion, frame, elbow, swivel
- Disassemble the mask.
- Soak all parts in warm water with mild soap for up to ten minutes.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
- Air dry all parts away from direct sunlight. Lay the headgear flat to dry, or you can hang to dry.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion to inflate and settle comfortably under your nose and around your mouth.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your Amara View mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide or refer to the fitting guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion or headgear size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.
The only exception is the Airmini, but you can get an adapter which will make it work with any mask as well.
Satisfied with the purchase. Value for money as it cost much cheaper to purchase from Singapore.
Delivery wise , pretty fast consider overseas purchase too.
Only concern is hope that the overseas delivery charge can be lower.
This is the best mask I have ever used. Took a week or so to get it adjusted with no air leaks and conformable fit.
This mask works very well and is comfortable. Thank you for fast shipping and service.
Good and comfortable mask, impressed by Respshop customer service. Thank y
The most important part of any mask is the cushion and the Amara’s cushion is superb. It sits under the nose and there’s a little area with holes in it that you breathe through. Overall, the feel is very light and it almost feels like the cushion isn’t sitting on your nose at all. However, the headgear design holds it quite well and I’ve had no issues with seal at all. FYI, the Amara has a fitpack option which comes with all three cushion sizes. I would always recommend getting the fitpack so you can try out the cushion that works best for you.
Like I said, the headgear holds on very well. It’s light and comfortable and leaves your field of vision clear. That’s something I really like about this mask, since the cushion sits under your nose, you can see almost perfectly. You can wear glasses without problems. All in all, the Amara is a perfect package of comfort and performance. It’s hands down the best mask I’ve ever tried and I will recommend this mask to anyone and everyone.
Performance – It seems like this is an area where people have some complaints, usually with leakage. In my month using it, I haven’t had any issues. The cushion fits me well and I was able to get a very good fit after fiddling with the straps. It feels like it gives me a solid seal and my sleep reports back that up. I am a fairly average sized human though, so I can’t speak to how the fit is for larger people.
Comfort – This is where the Amara is absolutely best in class. Headgear goes around your nape and your crown, with each strap having a point of adjustment. I was able to get a good fit thanks to the amount of customization I had. Mask frame is universal this time too (unlike some older Respironics masks) which is absolutely fantastic. As I mentioned before, the cushion fits well. I would HIGHLY recommend buying the FitPack, as it includes all three cushion sizes so you can test all possibilities. You’ll notice the cushion design is a little different than other full-face cushions, as the nose part sits mostly under your nose. This was great for me since my nose bridge gets uncomfortable with the standard designs, and this rectifies that. I didn’t have any trouble breathing through the nasal portion.
Convenience – Another part where the Amara is fantastic. The bottom two straps are attached by magnets, so you can easily just take off the mask. I read some complaints that the magnets are weak and come off easily at night. Those weren’t issues for me but I am also a fairly static sleeper. Hose swivels which is always nice for comfortable placement and it has a quick release option, which is my preferred way for getting disconnected when I get up at night. Finally, my favorite part, no forehead support brace means your line of sight is completely open. I can read, watch TV, wear glasses, all without issue.
Overall, just an absolute JOY of a mask. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants the best fit and feel from a full face mask.
One of the best masks I have owned in the 9 year period I have been using c-pap equipment.. Note it dose dry you out with no humidifier on but comfort more than makes up for it.. I recommend this mask too anyone struggling to find a good fit and comfort....
Forgot I’m not sapos have magnets ,too straps often slide out and it’s usually when I’m putting it on after a bathroom visit
I do not like the placement of the vents. They blow upward sufficiently enough to blow into my eyes, causing dry eyes. a better placement would be fo the vents to be on the sides, perhaps.
The mask doesn’t seal really good doesn’t fit right like the F& P the head gear is to loose.
Hello,
I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your purchase. However, you may be eligible for our Mask Assurance Program. Please give us a call at 866-936-3754 so that we may assist you in finding a solution!
The main problem is that I have developed a rash under the straps. I hope there is a solution to this because none of the other full face masks I have tried in the past come close to the comfort and seal of this one. Other than the rash, the other parts of this mask are near perfect.
I sleep on my back so I don't want to talk for people who sleep on their side, but I think the seal is very good if you sleep on your back. I have not had problems with leakage unless I move to my side. There have also been no pressure sores from using it.
It is also easy to use the mask because of how easy it is to clip on the side strap and the quick release hose.
Very good design, I just wish they would fix the material for the straps because I've never gotten a rash from any other mask.
I'm sorry to hear you had a reaction to the material in the straps! Do note that we have a 30 day mask assurance policy, so we can definitely exchange this for another mask with a different material. Please call us at 1-866-936-3754
Also, where the mask sits on my mouth (I measure small size with this mask), it presses up against my upper lip and makes my top front teeth sore in the morning. I tried the med sized mask included in the Fit pack I purchased and had the same problem with the upper portion of the mask pressing too hard on my upper lip/teeth. Note, the headgear straps are not pulled too tight.
Thank you for your feedback! If this mask does not work for you please give us a call since we do have a Mask Assurance Policy, I am sure we can find you one that will work for you.

The Amara View does not come in an XL BUT a very similar mask is the DreamWear full face mask that has a Med/Wide cushion which will make the mask a bit bigger. I hope this is helpful.

I ordered another cushion for my new Amara facemask. The original one (A SMALL) came down to the bottom of my lip. I ordered A MEDIUM cushion, thinking that it would at least get to half way to my chin. WRONG! They are exactly the same size except for a nose opening that is a fraction of a centimeter difference. I could not even tell the difference.
I feel like a SUCKER and will never order anything from this company again.
