Great for Side Sleepers
The Quattro FX seals securely on your face without any forehead support. The Mirage Quattro's light and flexible straps wrap easily around heads of all sizes, allowing users to sleep comfortably on their back or on their side. Because the device has few contact points on the face, you can avoid obvious facial blotches and red marks by using the Quattro FX.
Spring Air Technology
Spring Air technology creates a suspension-like action between the mask frame and the spring air cushion. The two parts combine to make a stable design, distributing pressure evenly around the face while still allowing the user to move freely.
Full Range of Motion
Like the initial design, the second-generation Quattro allows users full 360-degree elbow rotation. The device's comfortable fit also allows you to move your face freely without dislodging the mask. How often will I need to replace my mask?
Most masks should be replaced after roughly six months. Once the cushions start sagging, or the straps lose their elasticity, the mask will not be able to seal effectively.
If the cushions are sagging, do I need to replace the mask entirely or just the cushions?
You should be able to get away with replacing just the cushions at least once (after three months or so).
I've noticed that the mask sometimes leaks when I sleep on my side. Why?
Because there is no forehead press, the mask can slide with side-to-side movement if it is not fastened properly. Ensure the device is attached securely before you go to sleep.
Will this mask work for my machine and tubing?
Most ResMed products are compatible with most tubing and machines. With the exception of the AirMini machine, the Quattro FX mask will work with your CPAP machine and tubing.
I love this mask It allows me to move and breath easily at night. As a first time user, I was afraid to use the mask and the CPAP. But now that I can rest so well with it, I just love it.
You are experiencing what I call Hippo Mouth. I assume this happens when your machine is at higher cm. of pressure and when you begin to breath through your mouth a little, the higher pressure blows into your mouth which in turn inflates you checks (thus hippo mouth) causing a dry mouth. My ResMed Air Sense Auto set ramps to my prescription of 15 cm/ap and at that pressure I have a lower chance of check inflating. I also have the heat/humidifier set at 80 degrees which gives me plenty of humidification. Ever night I use a sniff of Afrin (lasts all night) to clear my nose for the night. With my pressure and nightly ritual I never get hippo mouth. If your pressure is higher that 15 cm you may have to use a chin strap to keep you mouth from opening. I'm not a fan of chin straps but the best by far is the Puresome Ruby. Very comfortable and keeps your mouth shut. I use this chin strap if I want to use my Phillips Dream Wear, I can't stand nasal pillows and the Dream Wear sits under your nose and is extremely comfortable.
This Resmed Quattro FX has the regular shiny silicone with seals perfect to facial hair and I barely have to snug up the head gear to get a great seal. The silicone is so soft and comfortable it rides around your face. I'm a back and side sleeper and I do use the CPAPmax Bed Pillow by Contour. It's expensive at $70 but it is AMAZING and has cut outs so when you sleep on your side, the mask won't hit the pillow and cause the mask to move too much. With 4 height settings you can get the perfect comfort fit for anyone and it stays cool with the technology built in to this pillow.

For cleaning the frosted X pops off the mask with the headgear attached-- easy to wash the mask and pop it back into the X... You're off and sleeping.
Seals well until seal becomes worn, keep an extra on hand for when this happens.
Very lightweight and comfortable.
This is a good mask for someone that sleeps on their backs, but if they are a roller like me not a good fix. You might get strangled with the hose. Other than that the mask fit well and I had good results.

Worst mask ever! Will not seal properly, I have to wake up several times during the night to readjust the mask. Air leaks horribly. I should get a full refund and not have to pay for shipping for this worthless mask! Buyer beware!
