ResMed 10 Auto CPAP Machine

User-friendly and reliable, the ResMed AirSense 10 Auto CPAP Machine delivers comfort and therapy success. Rated at just 26 decibels, this sleek auto CPAP is truly no louder than a whisper.

It comes with a built-in heated humidifier, advanced event detection, on-screen sleep report, tubing (standard SlimLine or heated ClimateLineAir), and various comfort features, such as:

Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) - lowers pressure for easier exhalation
AutoRamp - gradually increases pressure to your prescribed setting once you’ve fallen asleep
SmartStart/Stop - automatically starts the machine when you put on your mask and stops therapy when you remove your mask

When used together, the humidifier and heated tube prevent excess condensation in the CPAP hose and mask. In "Climate Control Auto," the machine adjusts the humidifier output to maintain a comfortable 85% relative humidity and keep the tube temperature at 80°F.

As long as you have cellular service, the AirSense 10 will be able to upload your sleep data to the cloud and download any setting changes made by your doctor.

You can also download your sleep data via an SD card (sold separately) using third-party software or the ResMed myAir app (available on iOS and Android).

Heated CPAP tubing serve one primary purpose: preventing moisture buildup in the tube. The heated and humidified air from your CPAP machine cools as it travels from the machine to your face, leading to condensation buildup that, in extreme cases, result in water sloshing around in your hose and mask. If there is a draft nearby (e.g., you sleep with a fan on or near the window), or if you sleep with the AC on, the odds of this happening is even greater.

Condensation in your CPAP tubing is a problem as air flowing past the water droplets can create loud popping sounds that disrupt your sleep. Excess condensation or rainout can result in water splashing onto your face or even into your nose!

Using a heated hose solves these problems because the heated hose helps maintain a constant temperature throughout your CPAP circuit. This temperature control insulates the air inside the tubing from the cooler temperature in its surroundings. As an added bonus, you can even adjust the temperature in the heated hose for your comfort, making this a great upgrade from the standard hose!

Does the AirSense 10 AutoSet adjust pressure automatically?

Yes, the AirSense 10 AutoSet is an auto CPAP machine, meaning it automatically adjusts pressure within the prescribed pressure range. The AirSense 10 AutoSet also has a standard CPAP mode.

What is the EPR (Expiratory Pressure Relief) feature?

EPR is a comfort feature that reduces the amount of pressure you need to exhale against when breathing out. It makes CPAP therapy more comfortable and can help first-time CPAP users adjust quicker to sleep apnea therapy.

How can I adjust pressure on the AirSense 10?

Pressure settings can only be adjusted via the Clinical Menu. Always consult your healthcare provider prior to making adjustments as changes to your settings can affect treatment effectiveness.

How do I clean my AirSense 10 AutoSet?

Daily: water tub

Empty the water tub and wipe down the inside with a clean cloth.
Let dry away from direct sunlight.

Weekly: air tubing, water tub

Wash tubing and water tub with warm, soapy water. Use a mild detergent and do not let parts soak for more than 10 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly and air dry away from direct sunlight.

How often should I replace my AirSense 10 supplies?

The AirSense 10 tubing (heated and non heated) and Air10 HumidAir water tub should be replaced every 6 months.

The Air10 filter (standard and hypoallergenic) should be replaced every 6 months or earlier if you have pets.

Does the AirSense 10 ClimateLineAir heated tube work with any ResMed machine?

The AirSense 10 ClimateLineAir Heated Tube is only compatible with ResMed AirSense 10/AirCurve 10 models. It is not compatible with ResMed AirSense 11 or S9 models.

Can I use my AirSense 10 AutoSet on a plane?

The AirSense 10 is FAA-approved for in-flight use. We recommend packing it as a carry-on and bringing a copy of the FAA compliance letter.

Please note that airline policies regarding in-flight CPAP use can vary. Always familiarize yourself with your airline’s on-board CPAP use policy prior to traveling.

Can I track my sleep therapy data with the AirSense 10 AutoSet?

Yes, you can track your sleep data via the myAir app, by SD card download or by viewing it directly on the machine.

To view your sleep data on the machine, select the “Sleep Report” menu on the home screen. If you wish to see your AHI within the Sleep Report menu, you will need to enable “Essentials Plus'' on the machine.

Q. Can you use the new Airsense30 pillowless mask with this machine?

A. I am not sure what model are you referring to, is it the Airfit N30? P30? F30? But whatever mask you have, it will work on the AirSense 10 as tubings and masks are universal in sizing.

Q. What is the difference on Resmed 10 black and for her version. I have a for her version and it works fine I am looking to purchase another but do not see "For her" models available, what is different on the "For her" version that is different on the black model?

Hi, The only real difference between the two models, aside from how they look cosmetically, is that the standard AirSense 10 has two modes, CPAP and AutoSet (APAP), whereas AirSense 10 for Her includes these two modes plus an additional third mode with an algorithm specially designed to treat sleep apnea in women.

Q. I have had machine turned off but still feel air coming through the tube. It is not a rush of pressure like when I have my mask on but it is a gentle air, is this normal ?

A. After therapy has stopped, your device will blow a small amount of air to avoid condensation in the device and air tube. This will stop automatically after 20 minutes.

Q. Sometimes I feel like my water chamber has an odor, can I add essential oils to it to help with this?

A. You should not add anything to your water chamber. Be sure to always use distilled water and clean it regularly in mild soapy water.

Q. Do I have to use the humidifier because it is attached to the machine or can I use it without turning on the humidifier feature even though it is attached? Also, is distilled water the only option?

A. Distilled water is always the safest to use and recommended. If you do not want to use the humidifier, go into your options and turn off your humidifier before use.

I've been using this machine for 16 months now and have experienced a number of benefits as follows:
1. My wife loves it because there is no more snoring from me. All she hears is a very quiet air noise.
2. No more acid reflux. I suspect that the continuous movement of air down my throat inhibits acidity from my stomach coming up. I think I first noticed that I was no longer taking Tums occasionally before going to bed after about 3 - 4 months.
3. Better sleep. I fall asleep quickly and get around 7.5 to 8 hours per night.
4. Sleep through the night without getting up in the middle of the night to go to the rest room. I first noticed this change after about 9 - 10 months of usage. Now after 16 months, I can't remember the last time I did not sleep uninterrupted through the night.
5. I don't feel tired during the day anymore. However, if I lay back in my reclining chair during the day, I will fall asleep. So I deliver myself from temptation by keeping busy unless I feel like a nap and since I'm retired it's OK.
6. A possible long-term benefit may be less likelihood of or delay of the onset of Alzheimers or other mental problems. Don't know but maybe there's research in this area.
